Welcome to The Restaurant at The King, we have a hugely passionate team who create imaginative menus championing local produce and suppliers. We are open from Wednesday through until Sunday, please see our service times listed below. Our booking system is live and will accept bookings of up to six guests, for bookings of seven or more please call or email us and we will do our best to accommodate. Our menus change daily, we have sample menus available to view online that will give you an idea of our style of food.

Monday & Tuesday Restaurant closed - hotel open as normal
Wednesday - Saturday open from 12pm
Lunch 12pm - 3pm / Dinner 6pm - 9pm
Sunday Food Service 12pm - 6pm

Children
We are happy to welcome children at The King, but please be aware that access is a little tricky due to the age and structure of the building therefore we are unable to accommodate pushchairs. We do not have a separate children's menu but we are happy to adapt dishes for smaller appetites, please let us know at the time of booking.
Dogs
Whilst we'd love to be as dog friendly as possible due to the size of our restaurant we restrict the number of dogs inside at any one time to 4, so please let us know at the point of booking of you'd like to bring a dog. We also ask that dogs are dry and clean when coming into the restaurant (ie. not after a muddy walk or swim!)

Dietary Requirements
We are happy to accommodate for dietary requirements where possible but please let us know at the time of booking to enable us to prepare for your visit.

Parking
Unfortunately as we are in the centre of town there is limited parking, please use the public car parks dotted around the town, if you need to drop someone off you can drive directly outside the restaurant and then park.

Cancellation Policy
When accepting bookings online or over the telephone, we will ask for your credit or debit card details* to secure the reservation. No charges are made to your card to secure the booking, and your details are encrypted and stored securely in line with PCI DSS.
Once we have verified your credit or debit card details, we will send you an email confirmation, which also outlines our cancellation policy.

All cancellations or alterations require a minimum of 48 hours’ notice by email or telephone. Without such notice, a cancellation charge of £25 per head will be payable by you for all guests cancelled (included “no shows”).

We will always attempt to resell your cancelled table – if we are able to do so, we will always waive our cancellation fee.
